Transparent transistors made of nanotubes

(A) The thin film transistor array on a glass substrate. Inset: A magnified transparent transistor. (B) Scanning electron microscope image of the network of SWNTs. Image credit: Eun Ju Bae, et al.

What shown above is the thin film transistor array on glass substrate which one of the usage part can be used in creating devices which need to have display. So, from this research and development, what I think is the television, handphone, ipod, e-book, etc will only as thin as a plastic only. So, you have a device, one thick plastic, transparent transistors build from nanotubes with no conventional transistor anymore. It's very brilliant invention, but according to the researchers, it's a starting points for them to invent a real transistor.

New revolution in clothes

In this weblog, I talked a lot of clothes embedded with devices. Lattest development in this area, a group of European Researchers has been working to make this dream come true, which now doing wide-ranging testing of new wearable technology with applications in a variety of fields and with the potential of protecting and even saving lives. The vital innovation is that the technology facilitates a new form of human-computer interaction comprising small, easily accessible body-worn computers that are always on and always responsive.

According to Michael Lawo, technical manager of the wearIT(at)work project, The Open Wearable Computing Framework being developed essentially comprises a central, easily wearable and hardware-independent computing unit which gives access to an ICT environment. Some of the basic components include wireless communication, positioning systems, speech recognition, interface devices, and low-level software platforms or toolboxes allowing these features to work together.

Electronic paper

(Credit : Plastic Logic)
I had discussed this topic previously, under E-book title which what I stated is "advance invention which used only 0.08 mm thick of plastic" but not show the photos of that plastic, and in photo above, you can see the book what I meant before. Before this I was thought to come out with that an invention, which I got an idea after I read a book, wrote by Harun Yahya, entitle "matter - the other name for illusion" (you can download that book via this website : http://www.harunyahya.net/). That book was changed me a lot of how we should understand who we are, how we seeing actually, it's matter is reality or fake, etc. From how we seeing, basically, a photon go through our eyes, then convert to electrical signal, send to our brain to interprete that electical signal as images. What confusing scientists here is how we want to know everything we seen outside are real or fake. No one can answer this question. For those who want to know more about this complicated of what God was created, good for you to read that book.
Go to what we discussed earlier, this plastic logic e-book maybe will transform conventional book to e-book later on. To undertand more e-book function, the ideas, etc, you can click HERE.

Shirts can charge your mobile phone and other devices

You walks, you moves, everything about your movement will create an electricity if you don piezo electrical materials shirts. The power would be fed into flexible batteries that would also be woven into the shirt. Can you imagine that its could charge your mobile phone, portable music players and other small electrical appliances. Research leader, Dr Adam Best predicted the first power shirts - or flexible integrated energy devices - could be developed within five years. For further reading, click HERE.

20 things you didn't know about living in space

It's not easy to stay on space, in International Space Station, ISS. Most people maybe do not ever think what are the differences while living on earth and on space. Discover magazine explore 20 things you didn't know about living in space. Check it out HERE.

Nano-Tex

Before this I'm always thinking to do a research to produced textiles with have functions to resists spills, repels and releases stains. But, my dream was done and already commercialized, by Nano-Tex company. From their website, we can see a lot of an advance in fabrics to give better comfort for all users. Check it out here.

Dr. Nanok Farewell

Hehe..friends, here is two photos of Dr Nanok farewell, and the other photos you can ask me k. The quality of these photos are not quite good, blur, maybe problem with camera setting. Anyway, we wish Dr Nanok will success in whatever he will do after this, insyaAllah.
